I have to what I believe is a 96 GTX with a 782? Engine. How would i go to find out what model engine I have?

This Seadoo doesn't have a Jet pump, this is why I would like to know exactly the type of engine I have. Also when I insert the key and Press the start button I only get all three red lights to light up and nothing else. What does this mean? I had a friend "hot wire" the black box next to the battery and all I heard was a spinning noise..and it wouldnt crank. Is this a bad starter?

Thank you for your time to answer my questions here is a review....

If it's just spinning... yes, the starter, or the Bendix is bad.

The lights don't mean anything until you check over the wiring. Since it's missing a pump... there could be other things not hooked up. But... if you aren't getting any beeps, then the buzzer could be bad, or the MPEM could be bad.

A 96 GTX should have a 800 engine. On the mag cover (larger cover on the engine by the fuel tank) there is a tag on it. It will say the engine size.
