I decided to try to do the maintenance for a an 07 GTX 155 by myself instead of spending $210 at my local dealership. (never onwed a ski before)

I purchased the Sea Doo xps maintence kit and an oil pump.

The ski has 26 hours on the dash, but I am almost 90% certain it was replaced and has much more hours based on the wear and tear on it.

The previous owner has only put 7 hours on it, and has not done anything to it all maintenance wise during the time he owned it.

Aside from Oil, oil filter, spark plugs, what else needs to be looked at replaced, or inpsected?

I am confused by the jet pump oil? Do i need to change it?

Any advice is appreciated

Pretty much good to go with oil, filter, plugs. The pump has grease in it now so it requires less maintenance. If water test it after the new plugs and oil/filter change. If it runs good you're all set. If it cavitates then you need to start tearing the pump apart to see why. Usually it's a wear ring or daged impeller. Any questions regarding the oil change should be answered for you in this video

I would also replace the coolant since you really have no idea when the last time it was done. It's very easy and inexpensive to do (even easier than an oil change). As stated above, the 4tec jet pumps have a thick marine grease to lubricate the bearings, the older machines had actual gear oil.

There is really no maintenance other than to make sure the cone seal is good and that no water has gotten into the bearings. The only way to know for sure, is to take the nose cone off from time to time and inspect the bearings visually. It is not very difficult to do, you need to remove some of assemblies such as the reverse bucket, steering nozzle, and venturi; then the nose cone comes off with 3 hex screws. For piece of mind, I would go ahead and inspect the bearings. It will also give you a better view of the wear ring and impeller. If you do find any water intrusion, then you will need to pull the pump and rebuild it, find out why water got in there, and maybe replace parts depending on the severity of damage.

Other than that you should be ready to hit the water. Hope everything checks out and your maiden voyage goes well!
