hi to all i just bought a 1996 seadoo gsx in great shape the engine has been recently rebuild and when i tested it for compression got a 145 on each cylinder, now the hull is in great shape the ski was on garage kept al the time the stickers looks like brand new so is the paint, now Ive noticed that the info guage has a huge black spot that it makes it unfunctional, so i was wondering if a new polarize film will do it, or do i need a new one, also the low fuel level light is always on and the vts doesnt work at all i dont even hera a click sound when i press the buttoms, is this something that has to do with a faulty guage or it is just electrical issues... thanks you for your help i hope to help and learn lots of stuff on this forum

a working used on is prob your best bet. menitonka4me is parting out one of those so you might want to search down his parting thread.

, also the low fuel level light is always on:
something is wrong with the baffel. either the magnent fell of the rod or it went bad. either way you got to get into the tank to find out.

sounds like you motor is siezed. remove the vts box cover and unhook the wires, and remove the 4 10mm bolts hold the motor in place. take it out touch the ends of the wires to a live 12v battery, it does matter which wire you but on which terrminal. if it just sparks and does not spin the the motor is seized. you can free them with time, and some knowlege of how an eletrical motor works.

thanks you for your help i hope to help and learn lots of stuff on this forum

thank you for your prompt anwser any idea how to get to the fuel tank >>??: i find that its easiest to remove your water tight storage and go in from there.

and also is there any specific pattern i will need to follow to maintainance the ski I will love to have everything lobricated and everything before throw it in the water thanks

service oil system
replace the gery fuel lines
rebuild carbs and put an inline filter on the feed line
change jetpump oil

if i needs doing just do it. don't half-ass it and end up stranded on the water. anyway good luck and we are here if you need us.
