New utopia - a few questions

Hi all,

New to boating and seadoo, i have bought a Utopia 205 with engine in bits, anyway just had boat back everything ok for a few little things,
Anyone know the following:

1. Bilge pump is working but on water coming out. does it need cleaning and how or is it more serious ??

2. Put two new batteries on bu there are two thinner wires hanging down from the charging system do i connect these to the battery ??

Any help appreciated

Is there enough water in the bilge for the pump to pick it up? If the pump is submerged and it's not moving water it needs to be replaced. They're cheap at any marine supply store.

If you can, take a picture of the wires and post it.
