new to the site and new to pwc's. i picked up my 1st ski a 02 gti le with the 718 rotax 2 stroke. it has new oil and plugs. it starts right up and runs great!! or so i thought. after reading i hear many people saying their ski tops out at 45+ mph. mine will not go over 27. it will cruise at full throttle all day i might hit 29 from time to time(calm, wind pushing me).....just seems too slow for the ski. today after i hit a small wake it slowed to 20 and would not go faster unless i lef off the throtttle and opened it up again (then it would go back to 25ish) i know out of the water the impeller sounds loud and rattle alot is that normal? i bought it from the original owner who kept it in good shape and just did the regualr maintance. it does have 150 psi in both cylinders. no rmp gauge so i cant tell what its running at....can someone help a rookie out?
