Hi, I am new to the forum so I am not sure where to post this. I have a 2002 seadoo bombardier rxdi that needs a new starter cable (red). The cable from the battery to the solenoid. On line it says the part is obsolete. Any thoughts?

Remove the wire and go to any local auto parts store, they have generic cables in stock.

Or, we have a member here that makes customs cables that are high in quality.

Welcome aboard and thanks for joining,,,

Or go to a battery specialty store where they can make a cable for you quickly.

I generally make them myself: crimp and solder the connectors (put shrink tube on the cables before the connectors, do not heat yet), slaver liquid tape over the bare soldered metal, now apply and heat the shrink tube. Yes, I am a little overboard on this, but water tends to get inside and makes the cable look ok even when there is internal corrosion (salt water is especially bad).

Do not forget about the ground/black cable.

Good luck and always have fun.
