Hello everyone,

I just bought a brand spanking new 2020 rxtx Saturday. Rode it 3 days in a row and have put 3 hours on it. It's starting to come to life. These things come programmed to gradually open up over the first few hours. Really loving this ride. So fast....so smooth. Awesome sound system on this thing too. I'm very new to these machines. I had a 2001 gtx and all I ever did to it was fill with gas and oil. Just curious what I may need to do to this jet ski other than ride it! Thanks for any pointers. 20200524_174233.jpg

Salt water use will increase the amount of after ride care, other than that, just do the normal, scheduled maintenance in your owners manual.

And if you're in salt water...the more you use it, the better.
Not sure if you're saying this jokingly or is there some reason to use it more if in salt? I mostly ride fresh water, but the gulf is only 1-1/2 hours away and it is great fun. Just hate putting it in salt. Although these have closed loop cooling system, it still pulls water to cool the exhaust. I'd probably use a full can of fogging oil on it first time I go to the gulf. What's the best soap to use to flush it out and clean motor?

Not really. I work on the gulf and salt water destroys absolutely EVERYTHING. The thing is...around here, people will use something, then let it sit for 6 months at a time. And within a few years they are having major problems.

I have cut several driveshafts jut to get them out because they are so rusted out. These machines like to be used, not just sitting. In salt water it really helps to keep using them to keep all their parts moving and avoid getting seized/corroded up. Obviously you STILL, MUST take care of them after being in the salt.
