New RXT-X Supercharger Hose Coming Off??

Yep .. that's the truth, slipped right off off the supercharger discharge nozzle. This happened first time in the water, as soon as I "juiced" the throttle. (took it to the dealer, watched them put it back on, put it back in the water)

Got about 1 mile of "good" operation out of her the 2nd time in the water, then ... uh huh ... same Bat Time, same Bat Channel .. hose came off again.

This time, I pulled her into my shop, dug down thru the air intake stuff and began addressing the "Case of the Slippery Hose." There was some sort of lube on the supercharger discharge nozzle that didn't want to come off with hand cleaner or dish soap. A bit of gas on a rag got it off. I took some emery to the discharge flange to break up the smooth painted finish, cleaned everything up and put it back together - this time adding a second hose clamp.

We've got about 4 hours on her now and it's holding together.

My opinion (for what it's worth ..) - not a recall issue - it's a Quality Control issue at the assembly plant. Somehow the discharge flange on the supercharger got oil or silicone spray on it and it wasn't cleaned off prior to assembly. Kind of a drag to have to go thru this - it really changes the "New SeaDoo" experience...

Yeah definitely seeing a few people with this problem. Glad to see it was an easy fix for you.

We may need to end up making this a stickied thread as a remedy for X-craft poor performance
