I personally would go new. It's a hit but your still in the boat cheap. The reason is, your MPEM should have a big bow in it from the intense heat created in that little area. Mine was. My new one was perfectly flat. Any used one will be bowed also, and you will pay half the price. I think they all are destined to fail.
Might wanna wait on that... Engines are first priorty. Sadly, with no MPEM , you don't know what shape they are in. First thing is a compression test. Then go from there. I'm not sure, but if I remember right, you can jump the solenoid to spin the engine over and get your readings. Not sure how accurate they will be since it hasn't ran in awhile. Have you removed the plugs and tried turning the shaft to be sure the engines are free?
I tried several of these places. Website says they have. Discontinued when you call.
