Just put a down payment on a new 2019 gtx230 and have a few questions. Price is 15,600 out the door no trailer. Does that sound pretty fair? That includes the sound system. Next question is about the extended warranty and pre paid maintenance. The difference in the payment was 25 a month so a total of about 1500 for an additional 3 yr warranty with $50 deductible and 24 months prepaid maintenance. That would give me a total of 6 yr warranty as Sea Doo is offering an additional 2 yr warranty through the end of this month. This is the first new ski I have bought so I have no idea if that is a good price or worth buying. Any help or thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Well I use to run around carpet baggers in and airplane that would go around and tutor car stealorships on extended warranties and prepaid maintenance and it was all a big money making scam for the dealers. So I avoid them like the plague.
Hearing the horror stories about maintenance issues and lack of quality control on the new Sea-Doos I am now not so sure they are bad idea.

I bought a 230 Ltd back in June. Seadoo was offering the 3 year warranty so I passed on the extended warranty. Although I can understand having that comfort over a couple extra years but ext. warranties are always a gamble. I did get the 3yr prepaid maintenance plan as it seemed perfectly worth it.
