I just purchased a 1998 Challenger 1800. The left motor is fine and works great.
The right engine has a couple of issues:
Any ideas or suggestions as to where to start looking?
Thanks!
The right engine has a couple of issues:
- It starts relatively easily but definitely requires more attempts and fiddling with the choke, etc to get it to start
- When cruising at 6,000 RPM the right engine will suddenly drop down to 5,000 RPM for no apparent reason. After it drops to 5,000 RPM, if I give it a little extra gas, it will suddenly shoot up from 5,000 RPM to 7,000 RPM
- When making sharp turns to either the left or the right, the right engine will often drop down to 4,000 RPM
Any ideas or suggestions as to where to start looking?
Thanks!
