Needing a 787 motor for Challenger

I need a 787 motor for my 97 challenger. Oil pump went out in the last one and I was told that it would be cheaper to get another motor instead of getting it rebuilt. I live outside Knoxville, TN so if you have a motor and could ship it I will pay through paypal if you can prove it runs first.

I hae looked at ebay i jsut dont really trust most of them too much on there. SBT is a little high because I have to pay shipping both ways. Would it really cost a whole lot to rebuild the engine if the crank is alright, and there are not any cracks in the jugs?

Fullbore is another rebuild outfit, they did cyls for my 95 3 years ago and it goes to Canada several times a year since, no trouble.

I tossed a rod a couple summers back, and was looking at SBT, but Lo And Behold, a new-old stock 787 came up on ebay. There is a long thread on here about when I got it. Everyone said there was no way it was NOS, but my dad is a machinist and said that all the threads and milled surfaces were VIRGIN and never been harrassed.

Also, came in a BRP box, etc.

So, long story short, look around, and you may find something.

It cost me the same as the SBT would have after the bidding and shipping, but it was NEW and not a rebuild. It has worked fine for an entire season, and ran great last weekend first trip out.

there is a guy on here parting out a boat that has 1 or 2 of these, so give him a holler and see what kind of deal you can get (shipping from Canada, though, may get you)
