Hey guys im new to the whole wave runner thing. i drove them before and i love them but i don't own one and its time for that to change. i recently been looking to find a good deal and im not sure how to go about it. i was thinking about getting a used high 90's model and fixing it up and all that. i recently called about a seadoo 800xp in my area and i think the guy wants a little to much for it. any one know where i can buy one for a reasonable price that i can fix and if its even worth it? i was told new is the best way to go but where is the fun in that there would be nothing to customize. any help would be great!

btw i like seadoo above all the rest thats why im here

Kawasaki. this is a seadoo forum. but I have read that kawasaki bought the rights to copy seadoo technowlegy about 20 years ago so may be it is good. I have no idea. I do consult with kawipilot at pwctoday from time to time and he has all the answers about them I am sure. and he knows seadoo as well.

This is a one sided forum... this is a seadoo forum. If you want to know anything about seadoo's than this is the place to be. If you ask about Kawasaki, Yamaha or Mack trucks...haven't got a clue...sorry.

well i plan to getting a sea doo i heard more good things about those then anything else. that just caught my eye cuz of the price. i haven't found any sea doo's cheaper then like 3k and that's for older ones. i dunno if that's a good sign they hold value or what.

I was a Kawasaki man from years ago, until I got to know seadoo. I have been around the water craft area for a long time and raced them for about 10 years. I own a 1997 challenger and I just bought a new 08 200 speedster. I think you would be doing yourself a favor and save a lot of aggravation by purchasing a seadoo. Go to this site and click on what ever brand name you are looking for, for a book value.

Working on seadoo's are fairly simple. The seadoo forum has a library of manuals for most all the models. If you do decide to repair yourself and get in a jam, that's where all the active members on the forum come in handy, to help answer your questions, and diagnose problems.
