Was trying to grease my shifter tonight, because it is squeaking. Only to find that one of the screws seems to be seized and I can't get it out. I stopped trying because I didn't want to strip out the screw head, which was already a little messed up to begin with. Anyone have any suggestions? The other 3 screws came out just fine.

one of the mounting screws are stuck/seized?

Is it one of the ones holding on the plastic, or the ones under the cover?

If it's one of the screws holding the plastic cover... you may have to drill the head off, and take care of it once it's all out. If it's one that is under the cover... then hit it with some penetrating oil, and work it as normal.

Try valve lapping compound on the tip of your screw driver before you drill it. Even see if it will tighten and break loose. Works most of the time.
