As far as maintenance, check the oil injection system like i mentioned before. That is the life if these engines, any problems with it and you will toast an engine. Change the inline oil filters. Also change the jet pump oil. All the info you need is on this site. As far as putting it on the trailer and docking, lots of low speed practice and you will get it in no time. Just use the FNR lever and not the throttle. Just push it back and forth....you will get the hang of it, we have all been there.

To polish the boat, I use 3M marine rubbing compound. Rub it out and then wax it good. For the seats, the best thing is 303 aerospace protectant. I use it and my seats still look brand new.

Performance mods.....not much to do really. Different impellers will help slightly, but not a huge difference. Cosmetic mods...there are plenty. I can give ya lots of ideas.

Well thanks for the info. you can count in me taking you up on some of them tips in future. Mike

Yep howie, shortly after i posted that i was thinking middle of lake isnt a place to be wrenching on boat.Maybe there is something to with age comes wisdom because I dont ever recall my brain ever associating fun with anything under 100 mph. Don't be too excited. Ive burned through a full tank in under 2 hours. 40 gallons at 3.70 a galling gets expensive real quick.
