Hi, I have a sea-doo gti 4-tech that I have not ridden in 4 years. When I put it away for the "winter", (much longer than most it seems) I topped off the tank with non-ethanol gas, and added sea-foam and stabil. Finally this year it seems I may have a couple of weekends to ride. I replaced the battery and it fired right up and idled about 1800 rpm out of the water. When I blip the throttle it revs up to 3800 and stays there. I checked the cable/butterfly, both move freely with full range. I tried again, and of course, the same thing happened again. I am considering putting the ski in my pond and wringing it out. Any suggestions or reasons why running it in the pond is a terrible idea?
