Ok just got my 1997 seadoo XP up and running, and I stated running water through it and noticed a pin hole leak in the exhaust..first of all how dose that happen??? Anyway I patched it with rapid-fix and then put jb weld compound over it. I plan on running it tomarrow do you think it will be all right?? I started it up ran water through it and it was not leaking. Whats the odds of that exhaust cracking all the way through?? I was wondering where the water was coming from lol...

That's a common leak if it's on one of the weld plugs. They rot out if they are not flushed once in a while... and they are even worse if they get used in salt water.

If you cleaned the pipe very well... the JB weld may hold for a year or so... but the correct fix is to have it welded closed.

Yeah it is on the weld plug, I didnt have time to clean it or sand it throughly but I did use the rite-fix then put jb over it I just want it too last through tomRROW THEN i WILL GET IT WELDED, you think it will be ok for tomarrow??

Don't know. If you put it over bad paint, and oil... it may pop off once the engine gets hot. All you can do, is go ride... and check it after the first 10 minutes.

gotcha, for a pin hole lead the water that will leak in to the body of the ski will be picked up by the pick up's in th eback and ejected out of the ski right??
