hello, i pulled my Mikuni carb out of my 1994 SPI because it seemed to not be getting any gas so i pulled the carb and broke down but i cant seem to find any of the the filters everyone talks about just woundering if the Mikuni carb has those filters and if so where would they be? Also, so i just clean the carb since it was just recently rebuilt by previous owner or should i just rebuild it? and i replaced all those old grey gas lines with new black goodyear ones and replaced the the filter on the the fuel/ water separator. im also going to add an in-line filter as well, should i be replacing my gas switch as well? Thanks:cool:

all you are going to see on the filters is the little black circle sticking out you have to pull them out they are going to be 1 on each carb and on the opisite side of the needle and seat side

if he rebiult carbs and left the grey lines he is crazy,

just clean the fuel selector no reason to get a new one unless it is just crazy clogged. good luck with it. check out onlyseadoo.com for the propper kit you will need comes with everything and then some

hey, thanks didnt think to pull it out and yep the previous owner left the grey gas lines, ok the fuel selector is the switch correct? Thsnks:coolgleam:

yes fuel selector is the switch, all the same thing, i took mine off and blew thhrew them with a little hose to see if they were cloged at all and i sprayed a little carb cleaner in them.... not sure if its the correct way but it worked for me, id get rid of those tempo lines though before you get into some problems, good luck

If after all that you still have problems clean the fuel pickup screen in the gas tank too, and the tank if it has trash in it, it will cause an intermiten bog in the fuel system, by the trash floating around an ocasionaly getting sucked on the screen on the fuel intake.

i took out my gas tank and cleaned it and the baffle. i have to replace my fuel selector cause i took mine out its all clogged up.:(
