Need help! No propulsion under acceleration

We have a 1997 Seadoo Challenger Speedster which we have just towed almost 1000 miles to the South of France! Put it on the water, engine revs freely but does not have any forward propulsion beyond idle speed. Throttle is also very sticky. Any ideas? Carbs have been rebuilt and new impeller fitted recently.

You have a bad carbon seal, or the O-ring that holds the stainless ring tight has split, and it has lost pressure.
