Need help in Myrtle Beach today. 05 4-tech engine code p0231

Sorry for the first post calling for help. I bought an 05 GTX 4 tec this past week. I put 3 hrs on it at the lake and all went great. So this weekend and Monday Tuesday I have a dad/son vacation with my 10 year old. We went out yesterday for the first time and about 20 min into the ride the engine sputtered and stopped. Then the check engine light came on and I pulled the code to get the p0231 fuel pump grounded or open loop error. So I pulled the pump and then hooked all the wires back up. Sometimes the pump will kick on when I plug the tether up and some times it won't. I can't seem to find a short or anything that is making it work or not. Has anyone has this happen before? Any known fix? And I guess my biggest problem is where can I get parts near myrtle beach, we are on the far north side.

Did you replace anything or work on anything before this happened? I have seen other posts where there was a ground wire left off accidentally at the battery. Check all connectors for loose connections any make sure to keep out the elements with the dielectric grease. Check at the solenoid area.
Otherwise, I haven't seen this problem. Maybe others will start seeing this post. It is the weekend.
In the automotive world, there has been a lot of bad wire shorts and ground problems going to the fuel pump in the tank.

No new work. Just bought an ohm meter. Pump is 3.4 to 4 ohms. Should be 1 correct?
Found an identical looking pump at auto parts store from Bosch but not the same number.
What are the chances it will work?

How many hours on the Ski. As for the pump part matching, I'm don't know. Look up the part on the ski doo part catalogue online and see if any detail matches up. Look up what pressure the sea doo puts out in the shop manual, then compare. The ohms from where to to where? Those ohms figures may be in the shop manual.

I fixed it! When I was installing the new pump I tested it. It did the same thing so I knew it wasn't the pump. I had already twisted and pulled the wiring harness but I did it again and finally found that one of the connectors in the main harness plug had been bent out of shape. I pulled it from the plug and bent it back and all is good. We had a great 2 hour ride this afternoon.
