Need a new pump, but the wear ring is brand new

As the title implies i need a new pump for a 98 spx. I put a new wear ring in last year and there's very low hours on it; it still looks new. The pump's garbage, so should i try and cut it up from the outside and try and get the wear ring out, or just buy a new wear ring.

You could cut out but what is $65 to buy a new oem one..pm sent

I've found them for 50.00 or so, but why waste money if this ones brand new?

It will take some time to cut it right, but give it a shot.. Make sure you still have a tight fit in your new pump before running. My wear rings are oem replacements from seadoo with a discount and its $65 with tax.. Don't buy aftermarket junk some are good some are bad..
