Need a new battery or what?

Hi. I Have a 2002 gtx 4 tec. Basically when i put the key in, a long beep follows and the gauges don't turn on...yet the engine does? Whats the issue?

It could be trying to tell you that the gauges aren't working. I would check the fuses.
The early 4TEC models had a problem with the gauges getting wet inside and going bad.

Funny thing is this problem started out of the blue. Taken it to the shop to get it tuned up before hand. Worked fine for them. When i brought it home, the problem began. Fuses are fine, brain to the sea-doo is fine.....thoughts? Again, the engine itself starts and runs fine. Its only the gauges that are unresponsive.
