This is what is in there now;
Yuasa 278001866 YB30CL-B

I do NOT want a cheap build battery, curious as to what others have upgraded to?

Need a new battery for my ski, what Gel Cells have you used?

Duracell AGM at B+. Get 10% off order online, pick up in store. 2 year warranty.

Replaced mine in 2011 GTI LTD 155 at beginning of season. Has been perfect.

Cruising and stopping yesterday, must have cranked it 10 times within 2 - 3 hrs. No problem.

EDIT: it was about $140 after coupon earlier this year.

I am never buying another cheap battery after using a 6 year old ( yes I borrowed a 2010 ) Odyssey to get my XP on the water for the day a couple Sundays ago.

My friend owns a batteries plus so I get em cost.

This is the model: PC625 by Odyssey

Ski turns over like no other.

I've emailed Odyssey to see if they have a direct fit,, We will see..

I had the same battery as you : Yuasa 278001866 YB30CL-B

Replaced it with : Odyssey PC925L-P - Direct replacement and fit in the stock box. The PC925L is the same battery, they did away with the P in the model.

Big Crank ETX 30L from Battery Mart. Made in US by Deka $109.95. Lasted about 4 years. May need a short spacer to fit battery box.

It seems like the Odyssey batteries get more expensive every year I paid 120.00 5 years ago Amazon sold them .

The battery you listed has the following dimensions: 6.44" / 6.75" / 4.88"
My battery is 6.5 / 5 / 7.5

Odyssey got back to me and suggested to use the following,
Odyssey PC925LMJ Battery with Metal Jacket
Item #: PC925LMJ
12 Volt / 28 Ah
• Dimensions: 6.64" / 7.05" / 5.04"

Also added that, the battery would need t be laid onto its side for exact fit mounting and that the "sideways mounting" will cause no harm or issues.

Retails for $162.

I'll do a bit of digging for the exact same battery as they recommend but at a more affordable price. But if not, I'm buying it. I really don't care about price, I absolutely do care about quality...

Well,, bought the one that Odyssey got back to me and suggested.
Found a coupon code online and got $25 off. I got the one with the metal jacket as it will be mounted laying on its side. They also offed "L-Brackets" that you put onto the terminals and this allows for the cables to mount exactly as they are with an OEM application.
Odyssey PC925LMJ Battery with Metal Jacket
I paid $146.65 for the battery and $5 for the brackets, free shipping..

Thanks for the input and advice..

I know you will be happy with it you will probably end up buying another one for your other ski

I have no doubt in my mind that I'll buy another.. I have my GTX battery in my RXT-X now.. I'll just keep it there and put this new battery in the GTX and then replace the RXT battery.
