I am new to boat purchasing, so please understand that when I ask the following.
I have found a few boats on boattrader that I like, but there is quite a difference in NADA used boat price vs. what the seller is asking. I have looked up a few boats and this seems to be the case with all of them.
For instance, there is a 2000 Speedster 240hp that is listed for $8995, but NADA lists $4790 (low retail) and $5400 (average retail), which is way below the asking price. Curiously, if you go to seadoo's website to look at new boats and it asks you if you have anything to trade, if you put in this boat it lists the exact same prices. Does that mean that NADA is actually giving you "trade" prices and not "retail" prices, or is the seller just asking far too much for what the boat is actually worth?
