I went ahead and changed my carbon seal/bellows , PTO Bearing / bellows after 185 hours on my 2006 RXT. ( after all of your recommendations to do so )
Everything went well on driveshaft and pump install - with a little trouble getting the carbon seal c-clip notch exposed.
When I launched the jetski I had a huge water leak which looked large enough to sink it fast - so put it back on the trailer fast.
I got the thing home and half way torn apart ( oil drained and SC pulled etc ) but everything looks great, no hoses unattached, the carbon seal looks tight etc.
I got underneath and shot tons of water up through the carbon seal area with a nozzle and nothing seems to leak.

Should I pop the Super Charger and hoses back on and fill the jetski with water above the driveshaft and see what leaks ? ( I already did that once half way above the carbon seal - no leak )
Is it possible the OPAS system leaks all by itself all of a sudden ? WTH !

I would put the ski back in the water ,leave seat off and watch. Youll find it

Yup, I filled the hull up just top of driveshaft twice and it's leaking from both OPAS water tubes somewhere.... Da*n-it ! ,:cuss:
Now I need to find out what the procedure is to remove the tubes and repair the leak , :cuss:

After an hour pulling the OPAS Water Tubes I found both of them split both at the top and bottoms.... problem solved

After removing and blocking the OPAS with the Riva plates - the main difference is that I can't steer my way home through the harbor to the dock by simply leaning right or left with hands off.
Without the OPAS paddles leaning the jet ski at idle speed has absolutely no affect on steering. No problem getting into the tight dock space - same as before OPAS removal.
Otherwise - maybe ..... just maybe a tiny more response playing with turns at moderate speed. maybe .......

This thread is very timely. I have a leak that has been traced back to thE OPAS system as well. Don't have the opp to look real close for a few days but this info will help me.

Put the thing on the trailer and fill it (level) just above the driveshaft with a garden hose - then see if the water is spewing out of the holes where the OPAS linkage enters the hull near the jet pump.
