My ski bogs and does not have full power

I blew the rear bearings on the pump so i bought a used one on ebay. After that I ve experience some odd acceleration and bogging issues.
First day: It has no acceleration, it reaches 7k rpm and just sits at 10mph untill finally it blast off. full power.
Second day(about 1 month later) : It accelerates better but wont go past 4k rpm and about 35 mph, if i gun it it would reach 6k rpm but only for a slight second then returns to 35mph.
My wear ring looks okay
I have developed a slight leak on the output drive shaft where it goes to the hull after my bearings blew. Would this be my problem?

I dont understand, It kinda seems like carb problems but again i dont know.
 
Sounds like a Carbon Ring problem. If it goes, you lose acceleration and start leaking.

What year seadoo do you have?

98's have a seal carrier and I think 99's may have the carbon ring.

You also may have messed up your driveshaft when replacing the pump.

I wouldnt doubt it. Mine is a 99 gsx. I hope i didnt damage the shaft. I m sure i didnt during installation. But yes it started leaking after pump instalation.
 
Any more information on my ski? I found a whole drive shaft for sale i may get but i want to know exacty what my problem is.
 
I don't know what more to tell you. You have the symptoms of having a bad carbon ring. You need to remove your driveshaft and check it out.
 
Bog, hesitation, stuttering, misfires is engine related.

Having it go to 7000 RPM and going nowhere is a pump/ring problem.
 
Read my thread.. I just went through this. It was very frustrating. Read all the way down. That carbon seal has to be perfectly mated to the steel ring. You can cheat the carbon ring back a little to give it some more tension on the steel ring part. Then re-check your alignment, to make sure everything is flush.

6KJR brings up a good point here. Don't assume you have one problem. Deal with the carbon ring/leak issue first, then see where you are at.

I was thinking he had a 2 part problem also. I would start with the carbon seal first...Mine started running crappy wit the seal not working properly because everything was getting wet in there.
