Well, I figured its time to stop half-assing my pop off tests with a questionable regulator on my compressor, so I was at princess auto (canadian harbor freight) and came across this digital pressure regulator. 15$ for that price i couldn't go wrong. Decided to check its accuracy with a super accurate gauge from work, it was within .008 psi. So pretty darn accurate. Has a quick connect end, and a 1/4 barb fitting and a 6'' piece of fuel line attached to it.

Only thing i might add is an inline ball valve shut off. But here's the parts. total cost was under 19$ with tax.

For those in Canada, these gauges are very good. (ps:sale on this week)

I'll get a better picture soon. Doing this from the garage, saw so many carb threads, figured I'd post this and give someone an affordable, accurate idea.

Looks good to me. But, digital has some issues. (see below)

First... when you use a regulator, and not a pump... run it up to 10 PSI... and listen for leaks. Then, roll the pressure up, until you get a clean pop.

The only draw back with a digital gauge, is that you may not see the pop. (depending on it's flow) With a mechanical gauge, as the pressure comes up... you will see the needle drop when it pop's... and you can see the peak pressure. I'm not sure how fast the digital gauge updates. So... it may give you a low peak. But... if it can recall a peak pressure... that would be helpful.
