Mpem program

I have a mechanic saying the buds software is not able to program the dess. Anybody have this issue. It is a new mpem from the factory but I have a 2 yr old rebuilt sbt engine. Could the rebuilt motor be an issue? My old mpem kept blowing fuses so I was told it had to be replaced. This sound correct?

Actually you program the mpem to the lanyard (dess), so if the dealer is telling you the mpem won't program most likely it's bad. Have you checked the fuses, also there is a fix to replace a diode. It's usually caused from installing the battery backwards or starting from a jump box or battery charger, or jumping from another vehicle.
