As long as you are good about cleaning it, there is nothing to worry about. My wife and I have a 1995 Speedster and so far we have only taken it in salt water. I spay the engine compartment before and after with WD-40, I use a lot of it. The first two times we washed it at the launch after our time on the ocean, but the last 4 times there has been a line so we took it home and washed it here. I open all the hatches then spray it liberally with water for a long time, I even tase the water comming out of the drain plugs and stop spraying when it no longer tastes salty. No problems, I flush each motor with fresh water for 5min then flush it with salt away until the soap comes out for about 30 seconds. Keep it clean and you have nothing to worry about.
