I have had two threads give up when attaching my mounts onto the hull.

What is the best method to repair?

I'm considering filling with some type of epoxy then using a heli coil to re thread it?

If that will work which epoxy will do the job?

If not then what are my options?

It is both threads from the front mount that have gone.

Why not just go right to the heli-coil? I don't think epoxy is gonna help. Inside the hull it should be an aluminum plate that stripped out.

I think the previous owner had a go at just the helicoil.

He messed it up pretty good and the helicoil actually pulled out on me.

If I was to use an epoxy would that help it? As it will still be tapping into the existing plate but also have the epoxy to grab onto
