motor installation questions

Took a 2003 XPDI engine out a few months back. Getting time to install it took too long. I have questions where a couple hoses go. Couldn't find a picture of the routing anywhere.

One is attached vertically between the throttle assemblies. It is quite long. Think it goes to the rave soleniod but it has a T inline about 2" from the end. If it goes to the Rave solenoid what goes on the T? Other line is attached on the case where the balance shaft oil level is checked. It is also long enough to reach the Rave solenoid.

Thats a better picture than the repair manual. It was connected wrong before I purchased it. Never removed that line from the block. Check valve 45 is at the Rave solenoid end so the line has to be reversed. Assume 43 goes to the crankcase port in the middle of the right side [as sitting on it] ? If that's correct which way does the check valve flow?

I do appreciate the advice, may have saved the engine.

The purpose of check valve #45 is to allow pressure out of the counterbalance housing, so the flow direction is up!
