So while waiting for my diodes for my mpem. I noticed theres two connectors coming out of my fuel gage. Just hanging there. A 4 wire and a2 wire. Im guessing the 4 wire should go to the fuel baffle where the grey fuel lines come out of the tank? But theres no wires coming out of that?.. any ideas? 1994 gtx with a 587 white motor (not the original engine ive read)

There should be 2 wires coming out of the baffle, green and green/black. There should also be a plug there with those colors. If the wires are not on the baffle I would think they were ripped off or maybe the baffle was replace at one time with one not made for a fuel gauge. Black and purple wires will be for your oil sensor. Check around the rubber boot and see if there is any little nubs of wire sitting there.

Im wondering if the engine and other components such as fuel baffle and gas tank were swapped out of a 94 GTS. The 587 was in the GTS the GTX should have had the 657 engine I believe. The GTS did not come with a gas gauge, which makes me think that there is a possibility of 1 ski made from 2.

I check again and do not see any wires. I got this ski cheap due to the blown diode that the guy didnt know about. I agree with the possibility of a gtx body with gts powertrain. Well i guess ill get a fuel baffle unit for a gtx. Should it fit in the same tank? Also while everybody is here, wher do i connect the garden hose adapter. There isnt one attached anywhere. Im guessing it goes in where the 5/8-3/4 black rubber hose is that comes from the rear hole in the hull. Because that same hole also has a very large hose going to the muffler.

On the hose question there should be a quick connector inside the hull, but you will need an adaptor.

I have the fuel baffle if you need one.
