There are 2 oil pumps, one in the front and one in the rear of the engine and they both have screens... I'd check them both. If you got to the oil pump that's easy in front of the engine towards the bow then trust me you need to get to the one that's hard to get to towards the stern of the engine that's where most stuff usually goes. The one you describe is the front oil pump, there is a rear one also.
Ideally if you lose a ceramic washer and cannot find ALL the pieces in the oil pump screens (I mean enough fragments to piece together to make the complete washer again) then you'd want to pull the engine out split it open and FIND the rest of that washer... it can come back to bite you later on if any ceramic pieces are left in the engine. It's very hard to flush these engines out there are all sorts of voids that hold oil from going to the very bottom and there's no way to drain the crankcase you can only suck out of it (again near to impossible to suck ceramic pieces out that way).
This is why everybody but EVERYBODY insists on getting the ceramic clutch washers replaced with steel upgrades immediately even if you have to delay gratification and not ride it till you can get this done. They are bad bad mojo!
