:thumbsup:Hello everyone, l am about to discuss an issue which appears to have many people stumped and there are many people offering advice which is contradictive. So l am appealing to anyone with serious knowledge to help me with this issue. Please note that l am only repeating what has been reported and l may be wrong so please feel free to correct me.
1. It appears that the hull of the 2008 GTX model are gelcoated and not painted?
2. Any minor repair work requires a gelcoate kit with color match? and small sections can not be painted.
Well there is my problem l had a few minor scratches and holes, which l repaired following advice from a Sea Doo dealer/repairer who suggested l use a clear appoxy gel to fill the damage etc, which l duely did but lhad to sand the area back to make even. Although the damage is filled and looks good my delema is that the area is now not glossy or is clear (appoxy gel) and l want it to match the glossy hull which is black.
Some people say just use an enamel/gloss spray can others say this wont work and l have no idear can some one please help?
