:cuss: I changed some fuel lines and cleaned the fuel switch. But for me to reach the switch I had to pull up the throttle/shifter. now the boat wont go into neutral something with the switch but WHAT!!!. It is still connected. 97 Sportster 717. Help Please

There is a small jumble of stuff there, lift out the handles and lower it in again, by reaching into the motor bay you should be able to wiggle down the fuel lines first, if you used worm type hose clamps make sure to press down the extra part of the clamp, you may have already cut some skin from those tabs, they get stuck on many things.

My neutral switch broke, so I added an external switch for it that did not cost $35 bucks. turn one way to turn on the engine, switch when I leave the dock.

Just be sure not to rev over 3.5k in neutral or reverse of you may blow your reverse gates off... you have been warned :)

Since you were messing with it when it broke, I bet something is just a little loose, pull the shifter out and reinspect, may cost you $0 to fix if it's a loose wire.
