Don't worry about me if you don't see me around for a few days.

We are moving tomorrow, then friday the furniture guys will move all the furniture, and I haven't been able to secure internet at the new house yet (want me to come into office in person).

Hoping to "borrow" a neighbor's wi-fi for a few days until I can get cable into the house.

But it could easily be a week before they get cable in.

Wish us luck. Then next weekend we bring the boat to the new house and be just 10 minutes from the boat launch so we should be boating a lot from then on out :hurray: Only been out once this season so far :(

I know nobody missed me, but I got internet at the new house today. I am BACK!!!

Gonna pick up the boat this week, put it in it's new garage slip, and use the crap out of it.

Boat ramp is no longer 1.5 hours away. It is now 5 miles!!!:willy_nilly:

Welcome back Scoop. Looking forward to hearing about the new place and the latest round of boating stories.

Welcome back! I didn't see this post originally or I would of told you good luck with your move

Just brought the boat home today, and plan on taking it out Friday afternoon if the weather holds out. It will be nice to make better informed decisions on if we take it out or not.

In the past, we would drive the hour and a half and find a choppy lake when we got there, and put in anyways and get beat to crap on the waves. But since we drove all the way out there and payed for the toll-roads, we went ahead and put in.

Now, if we get there and it is choppy, we turn around and go home, and waste about 20 minutes total.

Actually you can see the lake a couple times before we get to the ramp, so we can decide against going out before we make the 5-mile drive to the boat ramp.

If nothing else, it sure is nice to see my boat again. It has been parked out at my wife's family's ranch for the past couple months. It was covered with dry grass clippings and already had a dead rider mower, a dead car battery, and two broken ceiling fans parked in front of it.

Glad i got it out of there when I did. Broken junk collects quickly at that ranch, anywhere there is flat dry space to store it. Nobody is brave enough to just throw broken stuff away out there.
