Hello Forum! I have a 2005 seadoo RXT with 111 hours. It is awesome. 2 weeks ago I left it out in a monsoon rain storm on the lake with an anchor. Next morning it took a while to start up but finally did. The dash gives me the maint signal but fires right up and runs just fine, I can't notice a difference in performance at all. I have done the code check pressing set 5 times and it says "end" no P code. Any idea on why I'm getting the maint signal and what (if anything) can be done about it?? I get the two short beeps as well and it fires right up and I'm getting up to 70 mph like always. I'm a bit confused, did the heavy rain have something to do with it maybe dampening somewhere??? Thx

the maintenance message is just a reminder that it needs to be serviced.. theres preset service intervals that pop up.. they need to be reset with a candoo system or it needs to be brought to the dealer..

also have you rebuilt your supercharger?

I am not sure if the SC has been rebuilt or not, I'm assuming it has since it has over a hundred hours with no issues. I will probably need to take it to the dealer it sounds like to take a look at the SC and hook it up to remove the maint signal.

Just pull the supercharger and inspect for your self.. Our sc has to be rebuilt every 100 hours or 2 years and if not the ceramic in the washer will give way and destroy your motor... Literally, from the inside out

If that supercharger hasn't been touched from new then consider your self very lucky

How hard is it to pull the sc and how does one inspect for ceramice washers as opposed to metal ones?? What would a dealer charge to take a look? Thanks

the supercharger is held on by 3 bolts.. two from the front and one awkward one from the back of the charger.. you have to loosen up the j-pipe and move the waterbox a little bit and obviously take off the supercharger intake hose... but it could be done within 20 minutes give or take depending on the tools you have and your mechanical ability.. once you wiggle the supercharger out take a picture of the gears and post a pic on here and well help you determine if theyre ceramic or not.

im not too sure how much the dealer will charge.. dont forget its mid summer and theyre probably PACKED with skis and atvs and bikes for service.. i wouldnt be suprised if they charge you an hours labor just to inspect.. and thats if they can squeeze you in.. i know my dealer has a week and half waiting list before they can even look at a ski.

if your ski has ceramic washers i would suggest sending it to jerry for a complete rebuild.. much much cheaper then a dealer rebuild and again, his turn around time is a day.
