"MAINT" flashing on my dash when trying to start ski...

When I hook my key on i get the word "MAINT" flashing on my dash. I'm assuming it stands for maintinence but can anyone shed any light on why it comes up? I have recently had my ski serviced, so if it's just a reminder to get it serviced, does anyone know how I can remove it?

How many hours on your doo? 10? 100? You get the warning at those two hour readings to remind you to do the regular maint...not sure how it works at the dealer...maybe they just forgot to reset it.

There is no possible way in the world I can help you without knowing what type and year ski you have. This is a recurring problem in the forum. When you register, it asks for this information.

I hope I'm not sounding hard on you, ........but it is a waste of my time to come in to help and there not be any information here for me to work with.:cheers:

:agree: with snip, but just for fun im gonna assume your ski is a 1990 7seater yamaha uke: with 1053.5hrs on it... It's toast, id go buy a new one lol problem solved:hurray: Im jk but the people that spend alot of time searchin to help others with there problems need all the info they can get to give you the best answer they can. G'day Alex... these yanks get a bit sensitive when it comes to their PWC's mate :rofl: ( no offence guys) but that's why they are a great bunch of blokes to go for to get information about seadoos... as you may tell from the lingo i am from OZ.. Cairns in fact.. and am glad to have the opportunity to try to help you with your problem... if the maint was flashing previous to your service then the dealer just forgot to reset it...unless it's a two stroke then it goes off at 10 hour intervals... or 50 hour intervals for four strokes... if it wasn't happening before the service then it is just telling you it is maintainance time.. becoming a premium member is well worth it because of all the manuals and specs and how to's you get for the premium membership... ring your dealer and ask him about it as well he should have the knowledge to tell you more about it. I think "maint" along with the number of beeps it makes can also mean a it has thrown a "code" in the computer which tells you there is a problem with your ski.... BUT.. don't count me on that one as i don't have your manual in front of me to verify.

Anyone elses' opinion greatly appreciated on this.

Just start unplugging wires, until it stops. Thats what we do in Arkansas! (Just kidding, Just kidding!)

I really doo wish there was just a bit more info on these flashing notifications. My "Maint" light has been on in my E350 van for the last 20k miles. I think it is the smog device, needs told to shut up!

The ski actually only has 59.6 hours on it. So it started flashing around the 59 hour mark.....

Any advice is greatly appreciated!
