Hi guys,

finally dusting the boat off after winter and getting it prepped for summer. I fired up engine one and and two and they both started up right away, I was quite pleased as it was my first time winterizing the boat last year. Although I didn't have the engines on for too long, i did rev each one just a bit and while back at neutral, the dash said Low engine oil pressure. So i shut down both engines, and waited a few mins and tried each engine again, one by one, to start up and run for about 20 seconds, the light never came back on.

I am bit paranoid but is there something I should check before i drop it in the water, hopefully this weekend.

thanks!

Did you change the oil at winterization, if so, was this the first run since? It could be that the engine didn't prime up before you revved it up. The low oil warning only comes on at 3500 RPM with low pressure.

I wouldn't worry about it, unless the low oil pressure light warning comes on again.

I didn't change the oil during winterization and this was the first time starting it since it was winterized.

thanks,

I would thread a gauge into the sensor port and see what it really is,,, if it is good, replace the sensor.
