low compression, where from here

so my compression is 130 front 60 back...i know its horrible, so what now?

pull the rear cylinder, if looks good, and piston looks good, have the cylinder honed, and install new rings, just to get you thru the season.

i know this may seem like a silly question but what am I looking for to see if the piston "looks good"?

collapsed/stuck rings on pistons, diveted piston top, scratches on side of piston and walss of cylinder..aka sleeve.
