Lost Washer...looking for a replacement

I'm working on my 2001 RXDI. While replacing the fuel filters on the fuel pump housing I lost the washer that sits in between the bottom filter. It is supposed to sit in the "hole" pictured.

I can't find a replacement on seadoopartshouse.com, and even calling local sea doo dealerships, they're not familiar with the washer. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to replace it.

Thanks!

Do you have the rubber check valve that goes under the washer? I'm not sure that the washer is special or not. Basically it applies a force to the rubber to hold it in place so the fuel doesn't leak out of the chamber and the fuel pump lose prime when the engine is off. If you can't find the washer there is a good chance it is nothing special other than Stainless Steel standard (I think maybe a 1/2 washer).

If you want to get technical.... If someone has the fuel module apart perhaps they could measure it along side a standard Stainless Washer of the same size and weighing it.

I'd feel pretty confortable just putting a stainless washer on top and giving that a try. If I wanted to check that I'd start the ski, let is sit a few hours and put the fuel pressure gauge on there, insert the key and see how quickly the pressure come up. I think the pump runs for a second when you insert the key. When I replace the the filters as you are doing the initial insertion of the key I get very little pressure then it builds up after about 3 insertions and I am at 56 or so pounds. After that the pressure is up on one insertion.

Also... keep a good level of fuel in these skis. The fuel helps keep the fuel pump cool.

Long wind way of saying.... put a regular washer on there and ride it like you stole it !! LOL

When replacing the filters, I don't recall a check valve. I just recall the washer. I guess I'll need to replace both. In looking through sea doo parts catalogs, I don't see either a washer or check valve listed.

Maybe another call to a sea doo dealer/local marina will do the trick?

Thanks for your help!

Check is a thin piece of red rubber with the washer on top. I used to have good pictures of all this stull till my computer crashed and burned. I'll check my photos. The red rubber needs to be in there with the washer. It's just a seal and the pump suction lifts it and it is able to pull the fuel in.

You're in luck !! LOL Here it is !! The rubber and the washer. Not too High-Tech. I think you can rig something up. Good Luck !!
