Looking to buy 2012 Rxtx what issues has it had??

Ok here we go again . Just sold my 07 Rxt with 170 hrs on it . It was a good machine. Now looking at 2012 Rxt with 65 hrs on it. I was looking to hear what is the opinion of the forum. What issues have been seen and what to look for....

I read the intercoolers are suspect to failure, revised in 2016 to a better one.

I heard the same thing. The ski I looked at nothing was updated including super charger.

2012 to early 2013 = Had early intercooler without vent tube. Some of these versions had been upgraded by dealer due to failures (replacements were arguably better).
Look for a small vent tube on IC and/or a vent tube exit pisser above left/rear hull just below rub rail. These two year models look identical color wise.

Intercooler problems from 2011-2013 mainly. 2009 and 2010 were the last of the good coolers until the 2016 large anode based cooler

Sorry I missed typed . It has 4 years on the super charger and never rebuilt. So unless things have changed every two years or 100 hrs s/c and if the intercooler wasn't updated another potential problem .
