Chapole... that might be a tough one to come by. The 787cc (your stated 800) is still a very popular engine. It's the second largest of the two stroke motors, the 951 being the largest. If you find one complete, it'll likely run around a grand. There is a member here who is parting out motors, you will see his threads in the buy/sale and trade section of the forum.

i have one that i will take $650 for. it will need a fresh rebuild done.

You can do what I did, which was to buy a seadoo PWC with a 787 in it. The one I bought happened to be a 1997 XP, then you take the motor out of it and sell the pwc hull and trailer for a few hundred dollars to offset the cost. There is a guy around me selling a 1996 xp with a 787 for $1000 that comes with a trailer.
