Load testing

Any problems with dropping my seadoo in my pool to load test it? I hate driving it to the water only to find out there is a problem with it, I am in the process of troubleshooting the sputtering/low power issue. I believe it's the carbs from the old grey fuel lines and filters getting clogged.

But wanted to see if anybody had done this before to load test a machine since you can only run it for 5 min with a garden hose and its not under a load... I was thinking of tying it off in the rear and using some foam in the front against the inground wall.

Dana Point....Doheny beach/marina, not that far from ya, or is it the salt, you stay away from?

Whats up with ski?

To answer the ski, no, it wont work, need the 'forward' momentum, the ski/pump, will just cavitate.

I have not taken it in the salt, yeah forgot about the fact of intake, just trying to keep the jet in water to keep all the seals wet etc while its running... i'll try it and if the carb rebuild helps i'll haul it to the lake and test it on the water...
thanks

really dont need a rebuild kit. Remove carb/s, go thru them, replace the grey fuel lines, clean out/replace the fuel selector switch(on/off/res switch), and inline filter, should be good.

I did the above last weekend, then since it had sat for 3 years I pulled out the tank cleaned it, ordered the carb kit, which should be here tomorrow... thanks for the advice, i'll let you know how it turns out...

I decided against it, taking it to the lake once its back together and running as seadooya suggests I need the motion for the intake...
