Limited RPM's

I have a 2009 Sportster1500 with the 255 hp engine. It now has 18 hours on it, it has had the 10 hour service and oil change. I know the redline is at 8500 rpm, but I can only get 7600 rpm out of it. Smooth water, both directions multiple runs. What should I check or is this all I should really expect out of it?

The supercharger could be slipping, or one of your intake hoses are leaking.

Reach into the impeller, and see if you can turn it by hand. If you can... take it to the dealer, and have them check the washers.

If you can't move it... check over the intake for boost leaks.
