Like a Transmission slipping

I am new to Sea Doo's I bought a used 1998 GTI it ran great for about 30 min then all of the sudden it felt like a transmission slipping in a car. It still sound like it is running great but it takes a while to plane out and will only get up to about 30MPH. It feels like it lost thrust any ideal what it might be. I have restored sevral cars so I have the ability to fix it I just need help diagnosing it I tried shearching thrust loss and thrust but found nothing

Your wear ring is shot. Replace it with a new one and inspect the impeller. I prefer the OEM ones.
