Instead of going thru pics from years ago how about new thread of current boats. Let’s see em!

Here’s my 2007 Challenger 230. I don’t think too bad of shape for 14 year old boat.

2010 Wake 230 with 255's on it.

Bought in fall 2015, have put on about 105 hours (engine) since purchase. Probably 3-4x that many hours actually spent on the boat.
- Superchargers rebuilt that winter (since I had no idea on history of the boat)
- Gutted the stock sound system and built my own
- Added bow filler cushions (possibly the best investment)
- Filled in rear sundeck cushions to make one big level platform
- Sea dek flooring

Otherwise it's pretty much gas up and go, and has been a blast!

Gutted the stock stereo and built from ground up as well. Did a quick video so I could see the sound throw tonight.

Just picked this up a couple weeks ago. We’ve had our seadoos for about 12 years and decided to try a boat. Clean one owner 2010 challenger 210se with 170 hours. We’ve taken it out twice already. Getting ready to do supercharger rebuild and change fluids over the winter.

What are you running for tower speakers? I went with a pair of Kicker KMS67's, loud in the boat, and the HLCD's throw the sound a long ways back. It's perfect for when we're beached, just back the boat in and turn the system up, clear as day from a few hundred feet away. However you do have to be right in line with the boat, if you go off the side the sound drops dramatically.

They’re Polk Audio Ultramarine hlcd system, pretty sure they’ve been discontinued. I love ‘em though. And they’re lighted with rear lights and underneath that light up the cabin well. Got a fantastic deal few years back. They have a great spread so you don’t have to be directly behind, can be off to the side a little and still hear. Last year I added extra amp just for tower and that’s made a huge difference. I also added a control knob to adjust how much volume I’m sending to them separately from the in-boat speakers.

Nice, I do love the Kickers as well, although as mentioned if you are behind the boat you can't go too far to the side and the volume really drops off. Overall not a big deal really.
They do take a lot of juice though, so I put in an 8 channel 800 watt amp, and bridged each pair of tower speakers for 200 watts each, then the other 4 interior speakers are each on 100 amp channels. I also added the Wetsounds EQ, which has separate controls for tower, boat, and amp for both volume and EQ. It's a pretty sweet rig. My sub is an Alpine type X running on a mono 1000 watt amp, that thing puts out a ton of bass, but also needs some serious juice to run!

I know I have some pics of the install somewhere, I'll see if I can dig them up.

Nice boat! I have a 230 SE, not the Wake. Can I see a pic of your back sun pad work? Mine is three pieces, and I am missing the center piece. Is that the situation you were in?

Almost identical boats I think, other than mine has the built in ballast and perfect pass system I think?

In terms of the sun pad, I wasn't missing the middle piece, but as you can see in these pictures the vinyl was cracking and tearing, and because of the hump on the front of the pad, the actual usable space wasn't that big.

I brought all three pieces to a guy that does marine upholstery, and he added foam to the seat cushions and re-covered them, so that the top is all the same height as that front hump. This has given us a larger and nicer foam sunpad to use.

Hopefully it makes sense what I'm saying?

Makes perfect sense, after I looked at the pictures! You didn't lower the padding in front so it still works well as a back rest for the rear seats. I am missing the center piece completely. I may have to fabricate one from scratch and I do not have a lot of experience with upholstery. But, I do have an air powered stapler, so anything is possible.

Correct, I debated having the foam shaved off to all be at the lower level, however also didn't want to lose the backrest aspect. That's when the guy doing the work for me suggested he could add foam to the existing foam instead, so opted to go that route.

Worked very well, have been very happy with it!

It started in 2018 with a curiosity about owning a boat. So we purchased a lake lot with a neighborhood boat ramp and a 2012 SeaDoo 230SP with 25 hours on it. We liked it so much, in 2019 we bought a dock....then in 2020 built a house....and since COVID was taking off, we moved to the lake full time. Now our weekend SeaDoo is in our back yard and is a big part of our everyday lives.2021-09-04 16.16.22.jpg2018-11-15 Texas Fall.jpg2021-06-23 22.24.24.jpg2021-10-31 14.50.37.jpgNorth Side Looking SW.JPG

I always did love the SP's orange/white colour combo (especially since I'm also a KTM guy haha!), but just happened to find the deal on the Wake 230 instead. Sweet looking boat!

As for the lake place, looks fantastic, pretty jealous you have the boat on a lift out the back door. That is a goal of mine yet also, just not sure where that will be.

Days like today have me thinking of moving to a warmer climate.

Currently she’s tucked in for winter, blessed to have use of a barn. IMG_9439.JPG

I love summer, but love the break of winter (as long as there's snow) too. Boat is also currently tucked away in a shop, time to put this toy back together!IMG_8886.JPG
