Hey guys...was just goin over my 95 seadoo xp with 717 and found that the engine was leakin oil from the bottom of my rotary valve cover...its a pretty good drip..noticed the hull had some oil in it...what could cause this? Could it just be the gaskets???The engine starts and runs fine...just smokes alot during first(cold) start up...any ideas or anybody else with same problem?

For the oil leak, there's an oil line that goes from the tank to the cases just below the RV cover. Disconnect it and cut it back a half an inch or so, then re-install it. If it smokes a lot when started cold, you most likely have leaking crank seals or a leaking rotary shaft seal.

If it does have leaky crank seals does that mean the crank has to be rebuilt???Or comeplete engine rebuilt or can i get one more season out of it?Or do all seadoo 2 strokes smoke like crazy at cold start up...

Yes, the crankshaft will have to be rebuilt to fix it. You can just run it the way it is if it doesn't leak too bad. Eventually, the leaking crank seal may leak enough oil in and prevent the engine from turning over due to hydro lock. And no, 2-strokes do not smoke excessively at cold start up.
