Keys not working with ECU

I had to replace my ECU on my 2005 GTX. I bought a used one, and I received two keys with it. However now I'm getting and error key message. Would this mean the keys or not the ones that goes to this ECU? Both Keys are not working. Once i plug it in i get the long beep and i hear the fuel pump turning on. But i get the key message on the display and engine will not turn over.

Wrong keys. You will need to have them programmed to the ECU.

Buy a CanDoo; you can program the keys to the ECU with that tool. The CanDoo will come in handy for other maintenance and repair actions too.
