Key fob no beep

Does Sea-Doo boat 96 speedster beep when you attach key fob, ours does not but still starts engine... could beeper be burnt out, if so where is it on boat to replace, also heard that some 96 speedsters didn’t beep?

On my 98 it was just a case of replacing the beeper above the drivers knee with one for an electronics shop for about $10. Very easy job, just open the top hatch, pull out the tub and you can see it.

When I purchased my 98 speedster I discovered the beeper cable unplugged inside the storage area. Check that first. I have read elsewhere on the forum some good advice on replacing the beeper with cheap alternative.
